Cydia Substrate is now available for Android


If you have a jailbroken iPhone or iPad, sure you have tried Cydia Substrate that helps you customize software. But what about the Android users? They too can enjoy Substrate on their devices! Yes they can, because Saurik has released Substrate for Android. The new app lets you modify and customize your Android device without flashing ROMs. Of course you need to root your device first.



The new app enables Android users enjoy all the goodies of jailbroken iDevice and Cydia apps. WinterBoard is already available and many more tweaks will be compatible soon. Substrate for Android comes with a security options, which means you can cancel the action and disable the app anytime you want simply by pressing down the volume up button. The app is easy to use. Once you have gained the root access, download the APK from Cydia Substrate official website, or from Google Play, run the app, install it and grant Superuser access. It supports all Android devices running Android 2.3 through 4.2 including Kindle Fire, CyanogenMod, and Intel.

Substrate was introduced for iOS in 2008 and is now free to download on Android. The app is getting faboulous response on Android, get a copy for yourself and don’t forget to take backups.
